Engine number and MOD release form

Post by Carlos » Tue May 07, 2019 7:02 pm

Hi there
Question. Should the engine number be on the release form or just the VIN?

You only need the VIN

My first MT350 had been registered on the VIN only ( The engine number is optional when registering) When I got the military record sheet it showed the original engine number but the bike had a different engine fitted.

The process has changed since I got the information on my first MT. 10 years ago the process was different; it was then centralised and far less information was made available. You would probably find out the current process by contacting MOD. One member does hold information but I think he can only search it via Military registration number
