Rutland loop 5/10/18

Post by geoffbarnett » Sun Oct 07, 2018 11:00 am

I led four of my local TRF group on a trailride yesterday. Our ride had everything; rain, mud, deep fords, falling off, punctures, crashes, piss-taking and beer at the end in my local, the Dog and Gun. The route is one I devised a couple of years ago. It takes in some beautiful country. We must do it one weekend - MTs only. In preference to my Husqvarna 310 (for sale, too fast, peaky and hard work for trailriding), I rode my much battle-scarred, daytime MOT only, much lightened MT500. She performed faultlessly, I love that bike. The others were on modern 250s. I was struck when all the bikes were parked together by how petite the 500 is in comparison to these modern 250 dirtbikes.

Could the Rutland Loop possibly replace the now extinct Northamptonshire ride out?
