Hi
I'm thinking of rebuilding my mt with a very large help from my son, who is a qualified technician (mechanic in my terms)
I was having blue smoke problems, more annoying than serious, and decided to check the motorcycle over, it was running up to this point.
I am leaning to piston rings as a solution and will first carry out a compression test with assistance.I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for parts, rings, seals and anything else that comes to light.
I hope this makes sense as I have not shared my intentions with my son yet!
Thanks and look forward to any advice
Cheers

Welcome to the forum
Have a look at the forum index and you will find a section devoted to Suppliers

The three major suppliers offer different services They all deliver parts very swiftly
In essence
Parts, LMS
Parts , complete bikes and servicing Force
Parts, servicing and engine upgrades Sportax ( His forum name is Minter, having rebuilt in MT to mint condition)

I have personally seen or had excellent service from all three

If you need parts , it is always worthwhile posting in the Wanted section
