Negative feedback

Post by Tonydogbite » Wed Jan 24, 2024 1:43 pm

I’ve ridden bikes for over 40 years and been members of several clubs over the years. I’ve always enjoyed the brotherhood of biking. The one for all spirit. I have never come across so much negativity than in this group. I joined the MT Riders club as I’ve always wanted an MT after riding them in service. I bought the bike through another club member, although it turned out to be a lemon, I’m slowly fixing it, 90% there. I’m not a mechanic but can follow instructions and have an IQ bigger than my shoe size, so am not an idiot. Comments like “PERHAPS AN MT IS NOT FOR YOU SO SELL IT” from an admin is really not helpful. Both
LMS Lichfield and Force Motorcycles have been excellent in helping but I expected more and better from club members.

I know this is a rant and I don’t care who I upset. Some people on here are morons and need to look as to why they are on here (especially some of the admins). IF SOMEONE POSTS A QUESTION, AND YOU DONT LIKE IT, MOVE ON. They have posted it because they don’t know the answer and hope to get it on this forum. Not to get stick for asking it. If one person asks what you perceive to be a stupid question, then 3 other people are also wanting the answer.

So this rant will possibly get me thrown out, or more stick for posting it but I’m sick to the high teeth of these morons. For those that know, I’ve fixed the neutral light and to the one moron admin, I’ve welded the exhaust after teaching myself to weld by making a front rack.

Cheers Tony.

Don’t take it too personally, many of the regulars on here know more about these bikes than you could ever imagine and we’ve heard every question many times over.

Come to the Big Meet in April and you’ll see that this is a great group to persist with ;)

Hi Tony. Thank you for taking the time to comment. As an admin we do listen to feedback , positive and negative and take it on board .
Not sure which one of us suggested you sell the bike , don't recall it being me.
Are we as admins all morons I wonder to myself , i don't agree with that sentiment , but I will take that on the chin and move on. I've been called worse occasionally ! Sad to see your experience on this forum has not been good for you

We do try to be a friendly helpful forum and club , and on the whole I think we succeed most of the time . I do try and read all the threads and intervene if things get a bit prickly. Some of it is tongue in cheek no harm intended
If you throw insults around you will get them back , we are all big boys and girls .

We all have these quirky old bikes and I for one have received a lot of help and encouragement from fellow members over the 14 odd years I have been a member , and have some great friends here. . I know a lot of our members personally and I have had a lot of positive feedback.

Guys , commenting on this thread , keep it clean and civil please !
Hope you can come to one of our meets , I'm happy to shake your hand and have a beer with you, stick with us

Cheers

I’ve ridden bikes for over 40 years.
I'd expect you to know what a front sprocket looks like and its location.

ASSHOLE!
Dear Mr Dogbite,
Dave Deadgrass is one of the nicest blokes i know. He is always ready to help anyone and always provides lovely food for us all at meets.
He is also a dab hand with a spanner and always willing to help fix a members bike.
Plus he has a good sense of humour and joins in with the banter.
So I find you really offensive calling him an Asshole.
Being in the millitary i would have thought you would be used to a bit of banter.
Anyway, Goodbye.
