I've just recently had a PHF34 fitted to my MT350.

Absolutely the best modification for the '350 - smooth, consistent, better starting and much better fuel economy than the stock carb.

If you don't already have one, get one bought!

Thanks to Gary at Sportax for answering all my questions and for the super fast postage.

I never had any problem starting my MT350s fitted with the standard carb. That said, I did take carbs apart, fitted #42 pilot jets, fitted new accelerator pump diaphrams AND cleaned out the enrichener drilling. As for fuel economy long distance about 70mpg, normal riding around 66ish and off road low 60s.

The Keihin carb is used with different needles for a range of engines. I think the standard MT350 was fitted with the second out of a range of six fitted. In military trim it was set quite lean and many civilian owners removed the anti-tampering plug to richen the mixture. A high performance carb it is not

Gary is THE MT tuning guru ( he can ride a bit too !)
