One foot on the floor!

Post by viki » Fri Jun 26, 2009 12:34 pm

Just thought I'd share, as previously requested, my current stage of modification to my seat height! Here is the Colonel with the reduced 500 ( 16.5 ") shocks. I am waiting for my 13" one s to arrive. I am, however, concerned that as people tend to shrink a bit when they get older I will be needing 3 inch shocks by the time I'm 60 years old....

Fantastic !!! You have a complete foot flat on the floor. No problems. :)
Maybe an idea to ditch the gun carrier, rack, pannier holders to get the weight down a bit.
Unless of course you want the full on army look.

You could always have some 17'' inch supermoto wheels made up to fit like mine, that gives about 2'' inch drop in seat height. If you could warrant paying near a grand for a set !!

I agree, unless you really want to keep the gun box on for looks it is a real pain swinging your leg over the top ! I am six feet four inches tall and still have problems when the gun box is on(maybe more to do with my age than my height)

About fecking time!!! at long last a pic of you on yer bike!!! This has been like the longest awaited Christmas Present!!!

The bike looks massive!!! But i have to say I let one of my ex students ride the MT the other week (he's 18 and we are working on a flattrack together because he was bored) and it looked massive on him too.

Luisella will be pleased she isnt the only girl at Uttox...

Hi,Viki .I didn,t realise until my brother showed me that you can shorten those towering mirrors by slackening the phillips screw on the mirror head and pushing them down until the stem is all the way in. It makes them look a lot better and in my opinion easier to use when they are re-adjusted.
