So here's what we and the Team Sportax crew finished today!
We had a working weekend at Sportax to keep on top of things. Decided to do this unmolested MT500 which needed a new head and base gasket, new piston rings, new oil seals and gaskets throughout, new MK3 clutch, decoked head and valve lap, new Dellorto carb and general check over and service! Started first kick! Thanks to the Team Sportax chaps who lent a hand!



The picture above shows why the head gasket was leaking! MOD sub contracted engine rebuilds are some of the worst I've seen! With bits missing like this O ring brace. No gaskets for clutch and ignition covers, single lipped nitrile oil seals. Maybe thats why it leaked a bit of oil!
The road test was that much fun I went around twice!
Tomorrow we have a nice white Armstrong in for a few jobs..
