To Post Or Not To Post
To Post Or Not To Post
Evening all,
Looking for some feedback on postage and the costs involved.
Would you the buyer prefer:
A. Next day delivery but at a higher postage cost?
B. Parts received within the working week ie up to 5 days and a cheaper postage cost?
The reason for this is current my daily 7 mile round trip to a Post Office which I would cut to once or maybe twice a week verses a daily courier collection for next day delivery but at a greater cost..
Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Re: To Post Or Not To Post
My thoughts are that most of us are at work in the week, so don't have time to fettle in the evening. Therefore, if we are in need of anything, it is either needed for the weekend, or as a result of the weekend before. Maybe a suggestion of posting on a Tuesday and a Thursday.
That's just my opinion

If you are like me, always riding. Sometimes things fuck up and you need the parts ASAP. I know I will go somewhere else if one supplier can't/won't do next day. But it's up to you and how much profit you get/lose.

Lets get out there and Tw^t it!!
Re: To Post Or Not To Post
I've built up a good supply of parts for when something packs in so don't need next day delivery.
Go on, try and catch me out with a spare part that I can't get my hands on within the next two minutes.

Once or twice a week posting would be fine with me. Your only slight concern would be if someone needed a part urgently might they use a different supplier if they thought it may arrive quicker

Re: To Post Or Not To Post
I would offer a Fast Track and Standard delivery Those who need a part yesterday can elect to pay for a courier service Those who just need a part could order by Wednesday evening, posted Thursday, delivered Friday via Royal Mail 1st
PS To clarify Couriers often offer eiither collection from your address or collection from a nominated location e.g. a nearby shop

I agree with the Express vs Std delivery system with a price difference. Your only problem is that this might not cure your problem of running the 7 mile trip every day.
One other thought though: The local post office gets paid a few pence for each parcel they process. I have a friend that runs a post office and they do a daily parcel collection run for the businesses in the area. This way they are providing a local service and earning in the process. Maybe your postman might collect?

Re: To Post Or Not To Post
Your post always seems to be next day to me anyway. But I am ok to wait a few days. As suggested offer 2 prices.
You could always move back to your old place as the Post Office was closer and I could have a nice ride to pick up from your door.
