For sale - Flywheel weight

Post by Yoof » Mon Sep 01, 2014 7:42 pm

I had my engineering friend make a flywheel weight for me.
It bolts onto the back of the flywheel/genny and is a copy of the rotax part.
They are a bolt on part and come with the fixings, the weight is around 800 grams.
The effect of more flywheel weight is a smoother engine, steady tick over and slightly better performance up hills.
The only downside is the engine is slightly less quick to rev but its not noticeable.
You will need to remove the genny to fit the weight so you need a flywheel puller.
Also the pickup wire needs routing slightly differently but I will include fitting instructions.

I will send you one and if it doesn't work then you can send it back.
I believe thumper has the same engine as you, MZ500e (nicasil)
I don't see any reason why it wont fit.
