I have a couple of tins of 'Link Life' for non O - X ring chains, get a camp stove or do it when the boss is out of her kitchen.... stick the tin on the ring warm it up lower the chain in, let it soak, lift it out and let it drip off into the cooling tin.

That's the OLD school way!!
