MT500 oil strainer

Post by hippytyre » Fri Jun 29, 2018 6:59 pm

Does anyone have an MT500 oil strainer for sale? The one that bolts to the frame.

Thanks

I presume you mean the Primary Oil Filter which sits near the top of the downtube rather than the strainer which sits above the sump plate

The Primary Oil Filter is 9/16 in rather than metric

I only really need the housing, mine looks a little different to the one pictured though, I have two mounting lugs.

I think it's meant to have two mounting lugs.
The one in the pic may have had them cut off for electric start conversion

Thanks guys, the metal is surprisingly thick, I just buffed the end down until it was nice and domed again and with a little paint, it'll look ok. Is it better to ask on the Facebook page about these things?
