I’ve decided it has to go as my main interest is in earlier military bikes. So, before I list it on eBay I have up for grabs my 1987 Armstrong MT500.
I purchased the bike in 2007 and to my shame it has been stored ever since for the reason mentioned earlier. I recently pulled it out with the aim to start using it but to be honest it’s never going to happen.
The bike was fully restored by its previous owner to a high standard and is still very clean today.
The good bits
Everything works (even the kill switch)
It’s been well restored
Converted to disk front brake (MT350)
Very Low Mileage 9174Km (no way to prove this although the 2002 MOT shows 7988km).
New Battery fitted yesterday
Not so good bits
Its been in storage for 11 years so will require a good check over
No MOT but will pass easily
The bike starts, ticks over and engages gears cleanly
Price is £1,400 which is about what I paid for it in 2007 and although I know there are cheaper bikes around they tend to be “tired”.
Email me if you want photos or more information. The bike is in the Reading area
