Hi folks,

Managed to find a 350 for sale near home.
Any ideas on what to look for? Rebuilt 500, about 10 years ago.
I will check frame for corrosion, usual bits, chroming on forks, split gators etc.
Any suggestions welcome.

Check the owner has a V5C and the frame number agrees, (on frame nearside stamped just below oil filler.)
A 350 should fire up easily on the button , should tick over well once warm . No knocking or bad rattling but Rotaxs are not quiet and do clatter a bit ! . Should be fairly oil tight but some weep a bit. Any strange noises on starting maybe the sprag on the way out . Check the wheels carefully to ensure solid in good order they are not cheap to replace . If you can get a test ride see if you can get it up to 60-65 mph to make sure it will pull it ok and clutch working . Just the usual stuff check brakes, lights , tyres ,fork operation, evidence of accident damage , mot cert etc .
Good luck

In addition

Dents in the tank are not uncommon
Check all parts are there ie pannier frame , pannier boxes, gun box, , centre stsnd, tool kit, these parts are often taken off

If you do get it go through the Initial Servicing Guide , it's about the 4th post in the General section. Trust no-one's word that work has been done

If you need parts put a post on the Wanted section before rushing to the vendors
