Member seach by county?

Post by Englishman » Sun Jul 06, 2014 5:00 pm

In the member search would it be a good idea and/or possible to have a member search by county or perhaps have members listed by county? This may help people in the same geographical area connect up and communicate perhaps for "local" ride outs etc, just a thought.

Yes a good idea, a chance to contact local riders for a bimble.

When I joined the Forum is was operational but showed me as being in southern Spain, I wish  A search function or filter would quickly list all the MTRC members in the same county

You must have missed the many notices and posts about that which said that everybody was set there to start with and you had to change it to your own location yourself.
The problem with Schmoogle was that it was unstable. There may be a better one out there, Ill see.

I think it meant that we all wished you 'actually lived' in Spain! ;)

could i suggest an idea, could we not have an area in the local bimble/events/meets section that each member could insert themselves if interested in local bimbles/meets etc, then if someone has a local thing brewing they will know who to nudge if its missed when posted up.

That's the idea! So that an individual knows who else is in the area, doesn't need another section or any significant change to the Forum etc just the facility to search and find others in the area, i.e. a simple embellishment to that already in place
