sat here thinking about getting binned off my bike my injury and the family I now have; with a beer raised in my hand, to a man I got very very drunk with, talked about so much and had a bloody good time with.

RIP Jim

Lets hope we all make it to the end in better ways!

I have just spoken to the breakers yard in Scotland who is selling off some MT500 parts on ebay as we speak. They were very helpful and gave me all the info I need to confirm that this is the bike Jim died on.
He has asked me to contact the boss tomorrow with a view to buying the lot (whatever is left) as one lot. Andy sent me some photos of the bike as they received it but Im not sure if its appropriate to publish them.
In the mean time, anyone looking at any parts from scbmotorcycles on ebay, please FEEL FREE to buy them, I will probably secure the remainder and have them shipped down here for a club rebuild project.

I can tell you, the rear wheel and kicker etc is sold already and the front wheel was destroyed along with the forks.

It would be a fitting club project (at some point).

it is said that when a person receives an organ from a donator that they take on personality traits of the donor & in some way they live on.

it will be a fitting project & i will personally refrain from bidding.

when i seen the engine with the tag on it i thought it could be part of jims bike ...never seen the bike after the accident ..looking at that the frame must have been completly destroyed...i still think of jim quite often especially when mucking around in the garage such a larger than life character, hope the club manages to get the bike and get it restored if it does make sure you get plenty of pics and document the progress as it would be helpfull to others who is about to start their own projects
