Thailand lost boys found

Post by Wirralman » Mon Jul 02, 2018 9:44 pm

I have just seen the news that the 12 young boys and their football trainer have been found alive and well by British divers.

Whilst there may well be circumstances that prevented others reaching the boys, nevertheless I feel a great sense of pride that Brits were the guys that found them

There is still the dangerous journey ahead of them in order to see daylight involving diving underwater in some sections Nevertheless, the best news I've heard for a long time

This is something we do excel at. Rick Stanton and John Volanthen are legends in the cave diving world and absolute gentlemen, well done.

Jeannette and I trained them to use the closed circuit rebreathers. Been on quite a few expeditions with them over the years. Top divers and nice guys.

To lose a life in rescuing 13 other lives is the ultimate sacrifice.. if the diver who lost his life has a family they should be proud of his sacrifice and should also be cared for by what ever government agencies that must support them.

totally agree, the word "heroes" is over used these days , but these divers are true heroes putting their own lives on the line to save others
