That's what mine had. All removed now.

I spent the afternoon changing the radiator after mine burst. I knew it was a bit dubious looking when it went in, but expected it last a bit longer than a week! I guess off roading in it pushed it over the edge!

I fitted one of the high performance aluminium ones instead. It's a shame as the intercooler is not here so I am going to have to take it apart again!

Steering guards are next on my hit list and fixing the small leaks on the transmission.

I have fitted a battery cut off now and am fitting a power switch on the bulk head on the front passenger seat ready for the winch electrics.

Next weeks project is the dixon bate towbar and secondary electrics.

I am deciding whether to put any music in at the moment.

I take it you have never owned a Landy before then. The transmission leaks arnt leaks, many people make the mistake of thinking this and trying to stop them. They are infact a very important design from landrover to aid in the reduction of chassis corrosion!!

Make sure all the breathers are clear, im not 100% on the MOD set up, I know the axles are remote breathed but not sure on the gearboxes.

Sounds like you are making good progress with it and getting out to have some fun!!

ill post up the wiring colours later.

I found this and is ref to the Sankey Pins/wires to convert to 12N Plug, I will post up the landy loom colours later

Pin A] = wire #1 = Convoy = not used on 12N

[Pin B] = wire #2 = Stop = Pin 6 / Red

[Pin C] = wire #3 = Convoy = not used on 12N

[Pin D] = wire #4 = Earth = Pin 3 / White

[Pin E] = wire #5 = Tail = Pin 5 (RH Tail/Brown) & Pin 7 (LH Tail / Black)

[Pin F] = wire #6 = Fog = Pin 2 / Blue

[Pin H] = wire #7 = Convoy = Not used on 12N

[Pin J] = wire #8 = Stop = Pin 6 / Red

[Pin K] = wire #9 = Aux = Not used on 12N I think this one is the Purple 12v in the landy

[Pin L] = wire #10 = Earth = Pin 3 / White

[Pin M] = wire #11 = LH Indicator = Pin 1 / Yellow

[Pin N] = wire #12 = RH Indicator = Pin 4 / Green

Well, I have been progressing nicely with the project. I have new fitted a Dixon Bates slide plate tow bar so I can use both the NATO Pintle and electrics for the Sankey and a civvie 50mm ball and pin with 7 pin electrics for my bike and other trailer. So I think I am pretty much able to tow anything now.

I have also fitted the Allard Intercooler now and modified the fuel pump. It now goes like stink. It will sit up hill and down dale in 5th now rather than constantly having to work the gear box. It is able to overtake comfortably now as well as pull out into traffic. I am actually pretty amazed at the difference as part of me thought it might just be a bit of a placebo. Next step is to change the exhaust centre section to remove the middle box. This will make the Turbo spin up faster and be more responsive.

The new seats are in and way more comfortable than the military squabs.

We now may have sourced a winch so will start looking for a winch bumper and an A Frame to carry some extra lighting.

A few pictures to follow.

The idea did cross my mind.....

However there is still plenty to do with this one at the moment including a respray into desert sand. Wheels are coming off for a shot blast and powder coat when I get back from Wales.

I will post the pics when I get home.
