No gear selection

Hi all,I have a can am250 army project,it now runs fine,but I can't select any gears the gear shift rocks slightly so nothing is sized, feels jammed,any suggestions or help gratefully accepted thanks Gary,I don't suppose it could be a nice quick fix?

It can be a fault on the ratchet and paul selector. If the kick start turns as you move the gear lever it could just be corrosion between the 2 shafts.

If you ever pop over to the main land pop up and see us. we do a lot of Can Am repairs now..

Has the engine just been rebuilt or has it been standing?
It may be seized around the selector drum.
Remove the clutch cover and spraying some penetrating fluid around the end of the selector drum where it protrudes into the LH crankcase half, if that does not work get some heat on the same area, a blowlamp should do
