Having looked it up the letters GX were used for B and D vehicles 1977/78
A are Armoured vehicles
B are soft skin vehicles
C are construction vehicles

D is a classification code that I have not come across

It will not be getting repainted in the very near future.it needs a bit more mechanical/electrical work,registering, MOT etc .before I think about the cosmetics

They do scrub up well with a bit of effort. This is one of mine.
