cheap tarp/groundsheet

Post by bth2bth2 » Tue Jan 26, 2016 9:02 am

been having a search for tarps etc as i was considering making a bespoke flysheet for my force 10.
came across IPK's. its a forces pack containing a very tough ,waterproof sheet with 6 alloy tube pegs and very strong cord. all for the princely sum of 6 quid.(you cant get better cover for less) :D see what i did? Ideal for making tarps, groundsheets, waterproof bags for inside jackets ,bags etc. all you need is a sewing machine and eyelets.
just have a search for IPK .
check out mack tightwad's video's.(i kid you not)

happy camping

Just got one of these (or similar) from Millets, to give some extra protection at the Dragon. It should be big enough to put over the tent or can be used as an extension, which the bike can fit under:

I've used an IPK sheet previously, but they don't wear too well. They are designed to go over a trench with a foot or two of dirt over them.
