these are the first ones i bought [there's lots to choose from] these are 18w flood beam pattern,
i have just ordered some 20w spot beam pattern to try [only £13 a pair]

Dave ,i think the regulator gets hot up until the battery has had its full power back,

just for reference,
i also did a quick test on power usage on the led lights
battery at 12.73v to start,
lights on with engine not running for 10 mins
new battery test at 12.70v
so not much drain on the battery.

another thing i've been trying to improve is the standard front drum brake,

Saftek in cleckheaton will reline your shoes and skim the drum so you get a perfect match for maximum contact. Made a big difference to mine and not too expensive. Can’t remember exactly but I think it was about £50 for the full job

I experimented with a twin leader drum set up. When it worked it was good but had to adjust it all the time.

In the end I went back to standard after getting drum reground and shoes to match as Steve mentioned..

work has got in the way of bike tinkering of late but i've been playing around with a ccm swing arm [as others have done before me]
