I'll hopefully have the Ultimate MT soon.

Harley,
Front panniers for weather protection.
Front screen.
Bark busters.
Muffs.
Heated grips.
604 engine.
Normal sized tank.
Sheep skin.
Rear rack with box attached.

Rear rack, screen and panniers are easily removable if I want to take it offroad. And I can use it as a backup bike for work if ever needed.

Are you planning a shield of some description to keep our mud and water yet still allow heat to dissipate?

I was thinking of water ingress. Given that these are quite expensive to replace, and the bike is intended for off road use, it looks at little exposed. I'd be tempted to create some sort additional barrier. Tricky as you don't want to create something that traps water either..

not too worried about water, its sealed up well and quiet exposed in its original position,
mud clogging the fins is a worry,
not sure how hot these get when working [must remember to touch it]
don't even know when they are working hard [heating up]
is it when the engine is revving hard [gen output] or when say lights heated grips on [load]?
i'm rubbish with electrics.
