Mt500

Post by Exorcism » Fri Sep 23, 2016 7:52 am

Hello ,

Monday i bought an armstrong as a project .
It was an old sponser bike for 'kika' foundation .
Against kid cancer . Look on https://www.kika.nl/acties-voor-kika/st ... dag-breda/ for more info . Anyway i bought it like this :

When i got it home took it apart and cleaned everything , fixed the wire loom with original molex connections .
Heatshrinkt the whole thing , to waterproof it .
Bought a new clutch cable , back indicators .
Bought spraypaint to paint everything green again .
Unfortunally i bought the wrong color , but do you guys know the color name / ral code ? I tried 'Nato green' 'English green' 'Olive drab' , none of em ar dark enough .

Oh yea , there is a number on the front mudguard , can you guys check where this one was sent ?

64835-211. And beneat that is TP 22 , but that is tire pressure ?

Well done on your purchase - TP is indeed Tyre Presure 22PSI

Not sure what the correct RAL code is but there are many. The armstrongs were a darker green that the 350 harleys when issued.

Try RAL 6020. Most seem to find it a good match.
Enjoy the bike.

Here's mine painted in NATO Green for reference. Frame and tank were powder coated in one shade of NATO Green and I sprayed the plastics in a tin of NATO Green from LMS, with the latter coming out slightly greener.
