the reason i painted my red one green was because it was various shades of red, for instance the front mudguard was almost pink, it must have been in sunlight for a long time.

hi folks ! after a 15 yr gap just bought a MT500!!! :D (luv it! dont how i managed without it?) But 15 yrs ago when i was doin the rallies (MT500s) when i wanted spares ie side panels i just rang CCM bolton, (after all Alan clews is the man behind the MT!) armstrong panel on doorstep next day! dont know if thats the case NOW though? red panels & red bikes were for the Irish postal service with elec start?? not sure bout white ones.....Dave

I had an orange BSA - brush painted many years before I got it - it looked so of "the era" I kept it. That, and I was too lazy to change it.

Cat amonst pidgeons time but I have a set of MT500 panels with Harley Davidson written on them - in greend. Like the idea regarding archiving original colurs and if I can help let me know.
