Hi all

So what’s peoples opinions on value of the beloved mt350
Over the past month or so I have been looking to purchase. I’ve seen as high as £6299 to a reasonable £2495. Is this traders trying to push the price up?

What’s your opinions please?

Opinion- this post doesn't belong in the Welcome section

Reasonable price depends on condition. Dealer price is always higher than private sale for a bike in similar condition.

In the past MT owners accepted that bikes bought via military disposal would require work. Over the years there have been more posts along the lines of 'Want to buy an MT, must be in good condition'

As with any purchase Caveat emptor( Buyer beware) applies.

Hey Danny,

Wirralman is bang on - like most things in life, you get what you pay for.

As a dealer, we feel obliged to offer a warranty. On a 30 year old vehicle, this is a brave move!

To do this, we feel we check things over to a very high standard. A bike at the top end of the price range, for example, could well have had £2,500 worth of parts put on it, without labour costs.

A bike at £2,500 privately could be an excellent buy, providing it doesn't require much spending on it. But these bikes are at an age where things like exhaust systems, chain and sprockets, fuel tanks etc, will need doing if not done recently.

Back in the day you could get a really good example for £2,750 but in recent years there is far more demand than supply. This is brilliant for the MT community, but it has meant market forces have caused price increases.

If you can find someone prepared to part with a mint bike for £3,500 you absolutely can't go wrong.
