Ive had the MT 500 for about a year but only motd it at the weekend its now fully road legal, a question i would like to know the answer to is are the engines quite noisy? mine is not exactly quiet!!! but runs great no smoke good compression.

Tricky to answer, wording and interpretation of words etc
Also hard for you to meet up with other MT owners being so far north but we must have some ? Listening to soundtrack on YouTube MT videos may help ?

The noise varies , they can be a bit rattly compared to a lot of other bikes, some MTs sound like a bag of spanners but run well.! be concerned if is knocking, grinding or smoking . keep the oil changed regularly

Thanks guys i think the noise is nothing to worry about i did listen to some on you tube and there are similar rattles etc it would be good to compare though.
