Hello All.

I've owned my '85 MT500 since 1993 and ran it for the first time last year. I bought it at a disposal auction by mistake. It was so rough I had to carry it to the van. There have been times when we (the bike and I) might have parted company, but I somehow couldn't part with it, and now it has a registration number and goes. It's currently green over desert and green. (I know they were probably under pressure, but did you have to paint the seat Guys?) I have the military equipment number and it spent a year or so stuck in a depot and then was used by 22 SAS until it was disposed of. It probably isn't the prettiest example around, but basically sound and with relatively low mileage.

Hello and welcome
Why would anyone trying to keep a low profile NOT paint the seat?

Welcome to the forum and good to hear another is back on the road.

Many accidentally buy one or two, at least that's what the other half is told.
