Re: guy martin

Sometimes see him passing through town here as he doesn't live far away. He's mad as the day is long, a mate of mine saw him hobbling through the marketplace in a cast just days after crashing out of the TT (I think), he was under doctor's orders to rest up at the time but, it didn't stop him!

Re: insurance

I've used Wicked Quotes for a few years now as I've been unable to beat their price. On the occasion I've had to ring them I've not found myself on hold for prolonged time.

Re: Welding for a beginner advice

I would agree with the advice to take a short course in welding if you can. Then once you're set up with a welder let out your inner skip rat and scrounge up as lots of scrap bits of mild steel, clean them up with an angle grinder and set about practicing. You don't need to be coded to weld bits up ...

Re fuel tap etc: I stripped it and cleaned it up whilst the tank was off and there was no anti tilt or in-l...

Re: Yorkshire Dales weekend 27/28th July 18.

Made it back home safely at 8 o'clock yesterday evening, judging by the weather I gambled right because I left the rain behind in Wensleydale and just had sunshine and strong winds on my ride back. Still a really great weekend regardless of the weather, thanks again to Steve for organising it all an...

Re: Cutting out when hot and then not responding to starter switch

Ok, problem sorted. The carb was dragging all manner of crap from the rusty tank. I'm amazed it got me back from Oswestry when I bought it a couple of months back. Anyway I lined the tank and cleaned the carb and threw in a new coiland plug just for good measure. She now starts and pulls well. Pret...
