Try a new sparkplug. Take the plug cap off and see if theres a spark against the cylinder head if so try a new cap. Then if no spark try a new coil.

Did you remove the tiny pin hlding the cable in? I ground an old valve down very thin to punch it out, same with the adjuster knob. I made the cable from some old british speedo cable inner. This is thicker, I squared it and ground it down to fit.

Will you would be putting too much strain on the panniers? They have a weight limit of 7.5kgs (or is it 10kgs?) and with the weight of the rack plus whatever it carries.... surely it would be overloaded.

They look similar to mine. Mine's an L&L Easylift. I think it was about £240 about 10 years ago. I use it a lot and wouldn't be without it. Don't get one too wide and make sure it has loops to ratchet the bike to. If you've got loads of room you could knock up a fixed bench to work on. I've made the...
