Re: Stainless Exhaust fitted.

Hi Ian. I can only conclude that the aftermarket inlet stubs welded onto the actual headers are in fact too short in the length. Hope the grinding mods are going well.

Re: Stainless Exhaust fitted.

Hi Ian. I understand completely about posting the pictures. Grinder must be the last resort. There are 2 types of copper washer available, solid and compression type washers. Can you double up and use 2 per side of the solid washers, if the discrepancy is only small?

Dave. Just had to have another look! Looks better than a new one. Sorry for distracting from the exhaust thread but felt I had to comment/ compliment!

Re: Stainless Exhaust fitted.

This is not a problem I have read about or come across myself. Is it possible to post a picture showing the exact problem? Pictures worth a 1000 words etc.

Re: project 2020

If you get impatient, take the engine sump off, look up towards the underside of the piston crown with a good pencil LED torch. You should see an omega piston if 100 mm bore!

Re: project 2020

Probably middle for diddle 18. I like the bigger Exhaust Header Pipe’s did you have them special made for the 604?
